
Jeff Hanson - Director of Golf
Jeff has been the Director of Golf at Red Sky since the inception and was instrumental in the design and organization of the club. He oversees all golf operations including the
Jeff resides in Edwards with his wife Nancy and their children Collin, Ryan and Lindsay.
Mike Gibbs - Club Director
Mike is the Club Director at Red Sky Golf Club and is in charge of the private membership aspect of the Club and also oversees the clubhouse guest service attendants, member concierge, housekeeping, pool attendants, both Clubhouse facilities, the swimming pool and tennis courts. Mike was born and raised in Georgetown, CO. and received his bachelors degree in Economics at Bowdoin College in Maine and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Denver. Mike has been with Vail Resorts since 1993, starting as a line cook at Beano’s Cabin, seven years on the Beaver Creek Ski Patrol, two years as the Beaver Creek Skier Safety Forman, two years as the Beaver Creek Guest Service Supervisor and the last 5 years as the Activities and Program Manager at the Beaver Creek Club. Mike is an avid athlete and loves anything outside, including skiing, snowshoeing, trail running, anything on a bike, and of course golf. When he is not at work he is sure to be outdoors with his wife and 5 year old daughter.
Tim McCaw - Executive Chef, Silver Sage and Summer Thyme
Tim is a Colorado native who arrived in Beaver Creek looking to take a break from the Denver restaurant scene. He worked for a season as Sous Chef at Allie’s Cabin and helped to launch Zach’s Cabin in December 1999. McCaw presented his innovative cuisine from Zach’s Cabin at the prestigious James Beard House in New York in November 2007. McCaw continues to create award-winning cuisine at Zach’s each winter, while his newest venture has taken him 15 miles West of Beaver Creek to Red Sky Golf Club for the summer season. As Executive Chef of Red Sky’s Silver Sage and Summer Thyme, McCaw’s culinary creativity will please golfers and non-golfers alike. He also participates in annual food festivals including the Beaver Creek and Bon Appetit Food and Wine Focus and the Taste of Vail. McCaw was introduced to the culinary arts at age 15 and immediately discovered a passion for this field. He studied under well-respected Denver-area chefs at the Cherry Hills Country Club and Barolo Grill and worked as executive chef at Chive’s American Bistro. McCaw was exposed to a variety of cuisines, helping him to develop his own style. His enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to learn are respected among his peers.
Chris Lai - PGA Head Professional
Chris oversees all of the Resort golf operations. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Chris has been a PGA member since 2001. He has been in the golf business in the Vail Valley since 1991, working at Singletree/Sonnenalp Golf Club 1991-1999, Beaver Creek Golf Club 2000-2001, and at Red Sky Golf Club since the beginning in 2002. Chris also enjoys all of the winter activities the Vail Valley has to offer. He has held several positions in the ski industry since 1987 including Promotions Manager for the 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships and the Vail Valley Foundation, site manager for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, Athlete Liaison for the Ford Downhill Series and the Jeep King of the Mountain professional alpine downhill tours. He is also an alpine ski instructor for the Vail/Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School and active in all Birds of Prey Alpine World Cup events at Beaver Creek.
Michael Miner – Director of Golf Course Maintenance
Michael Miner took on the title of Director of Golf Course Maintenance at Red Sky Golf Club in 2008. Miner is in charge of marinating the turf on both courses, and does so with skill. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Plant Science from the University of Delaware and has since worked in turfgrass management for top course, including the Beaver Creek Golf Club and the Nantucket Golf Club. Miner also serves as coach for the Eagle Valley Middle School lacrosse team. He lives in the Vail Valley with his wife and three sons.
Shawnna Sisca Frank– Senior Sales Manager & Club Development
Shawnna Sisca moved to Vail after graduating from Boston College in 1996. She worked at the Vail Valley Foundation during the 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships through the 2001 Mountain Bike Championships in operations. In 2001, Shawnna helped open the Bachelor Gulch club located at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch and worked for 6 years in a variety of management capacities. Since 2006 Shawnna has lead Membership Sales at Red Sky Golf Club, Vail Mountain Club and The Arrabelle Club.
